I've had a lot of experiences (sadly) with psychiatry and psychologists and this is the first time I feel respected and helped rather than pathologised. Teri's ability to understand mental illness, neurodivergence and those with a high IQ/"giftedness" have been really important areas for me to get the most out of my sessions with her.

Teri has supported me through one of the most stressful periods of my life. Her calm reassurance, validation and reminders that I'm not to blame for other people's disrespect (bullying) have been life saving (literally).

Teri is my first therapist. I never thought it'd be for me. Found it too indulgent to sit and talk about myself. She's helped me tremendously in simply having a safe space to talk and this has given me significant insights into my past and current shitty patterns. I've been working on self-compassion to try and reduce my inner critic (there's a long way to go yet but every session with Teri helps me get there).

It's been really important and helpful that Teri is open to tailoring sessions after my needs. I don't do well with talk therapy where I have to do all the talking and reflecting. The mentoring is more for me. It's also great that Teri uses information sharing with me (I think she calls it psychoeducation) and that I get to learn through her knowledge. It's great I get to ask questions and I get to learn something new and brainstorm what I make of the information shared.
